In this 3-hour, hands-on class, you’ll design and decorate your very own ceramic Christmas tree creatively. This is the perfect way to craft a personalized holiday centerpiece that will bring warmth and cheer to your home for years to come. In this one-session class, you'll begin by sculpting and painting your own ceramic tree, using underglaze and colored slip to bring your vision to life. Whether you prefer a classic design with rich greens and reds or a more contemporary look, you’ll have the freedom to choose from a variety of colors and techniques to make your tree uniquely yours. Our instructor will guide you through the process of painting the tree with underglaze, helping you achieve a smooth, vibrant finish. You’ll also learn how to apply colored slip to create depth and texture on your tree, mimicking the look of pine needles and branches. Decoration Options: To make your tree truly special, we offer underglaze transfer sheets that you can purchase from our website. These transfers allow you to easily add intricate designs, patterns, or seasonal motifs to your tree. You’ll be able to apply the transfers during the workshop, creating a stunning, one-of-a-kind decoration. What’s included: All necessary materials will be provided, including clay, tools, templates, festive cookie cutters, underglazes and colored slips. Just bring your enthusiasm and creativity! Who is this class for? Whether you're a beginner or have some experience in pottery, this class is designed to be enjoyable and accessible to everyone. How long is the workshop? 3 Hours with clean up included. Hot Tips: Bring an apron or an old tshirt. Bring your inspiration. Pieces will be ready before holiday. We first bisque fire your pieces, then we glaze the pieces with clear glaze and re-fire them. Participants are emailed when their pieces are ready for pick up!
