Clay Kids 7-11

Course Description

Course dates: Saturdays from Feb. 1, 2025 - March 8, 2025 Course duration: 1.5 hour sessions over the course of 6 weeks Time: 10:00AM - 11:30AM Instructor: Lauren Our 6-week course is designed for children ages 7 to 11 who have a passion for clay. Our experienced instructors will guide them through the basics of working with clay and help them create their own unique pieces. Perfect for kids who want to explore their artistic side in a safe environment to express themselves and have fun while learning about clay. This is also a great opportunity to meet new friends who share a passion for art. This course includes everything your child needs to create pieces. Instruction, equipment, clay, tools, paint, firing and glazing. Who is this class for? Ages 7 years to 11 years. How long is the workshop? 1.5 Hours with clean up included. What do kids make? At the beginning of the course the instructor will go through all projects planned and go through the 8 week schedule, the projects can change if the group agrees. Projects are planned to suit the level of the course. Is it your first time in our studio? We love to share our love of clay with you and everything we've learned through years of playing with clay. This course is a great introduction to pottery. Hot Tips Jewellery might get in the way. Bring an apron or an old tshirt. Bring your inspiration. Pick Up Course works, pieces are usually fired during the course and can be collected during your sessions, or weeks after the course has finished. Pieces usually take 3-4 weeks. We email everyone when the pieces are ready for pick up.
