Clay Kids Ages 7-11

Course Description

Our 6-week course is designed for children ages 7 to 9 who have a passion for clay. Our experienced instructor will guide them through the basics of working with clay and help them create their own unique pieces. Perfect for kids who want to explore their artistic side in a safe environment to express themselves and have fun while learning about clay. This is also a great opportunity to meet new friends who share a passion for art. Course Details: 🗓️ Start Date: May 24 until June 28 2025 Saturdays, once a week, for 1 hour, over 6 weeks ⏰ Time: 1pm – 2pm 📍 Location: Beyond Pottery, Burlington, ON 👩‍🏫 Instructor: Sarah Taghipour 👥 Suitable for: Children ages 7 to 11 who have a passion for clay 🎨 Includes: Clay, tools, glazes, and kiln firings What do kids make? At the beginning of the course the instructor will go through all projects planned and go through the 6 week schedule, the projects can change if the group all agree. Projects are planned to suit the level of the course. Our kids courses are handbuilding only, for wheel courses we ask that they are at least 12 years old. Hot Tips Jewellery might get in the way. Bring an apron or an old tshirt. Pick Up Course works, pieces are usually fired during the course and can be collected during your sessions, or a weeks after the course has finished. Pieces usually take 3-4 weeks. We email everyone when the pieces are ready for pick up. We fire according to size and best fit in the kiln.
