Course Description

Course dates : Thursdays from Jan. 30th, 2025 - March 6, 2025 Duration of Course: 6 classes - 2 hours each Time: 6pm- 8pm Instructor: Lauren Sinett Experience the joy of creating pottery ! In this 6 week beginner hand-building course we will explore the process of creating functional and decorative pieces using foundational clay construction techniques. From pinching to coiling and slab building an experienced clay instructor will be there to guide you every step of the way. This course includes everything you need to create your pieces. Instruction, equipment, clay, tools, firing and glazing. Who is this class for? Complete beginners. This workshop is intended for adults 18+. Younger? Reach out to us to ask about teen and children’s workshops. How long is the workshop? 2 Hours with clean up included. What do I make? At the beginning of the course the instructor will go through all projects planned and go through the 6 week schedule, the projects can change if the group all agree. Projects are planned to suit the level of the course. Is it your first time? We love to share our love of clay with you and everything we've learned through years of playing with clay. This course is a great introduction to pottery. Hot Tips Jewellery and longer nails might get in the way. Bring an apron or an old Tshirt. Bring your inspiration. Pick Up Course works, pieces are usually fired during the course and can be collected during your sessions, or weeks after the course has finished. Pieces usually take 3-4 weeks to be processed & we email students when their pieces are ready for pick up!
