Course Description
Course Dates: (Tuesday Evenings) from September 10, 2024 - October 15 2024 Course length: 2.0 hour classes once a week for 6 weeks Time: 6pm - 8:00pm Instructor: Lauren Discover the art of wheel throwing in this beginner course. Our 6 week course will teach you the fundamentals of creating pottery pieces using the pottery wheel. Learn techniques such as centring, shaping, trimming and more. Our experienced instructor will guide you every step of the way. Whether you’re looking to develop a new hobby or just want to try something new, we look forward to meeting you. This course includes everything you need to create your pieces. Instruction, equipment, clay, tools, firing and glazing. Who is this class for? Complete beginners. This workshop is intended for adults 18+. Younger? Reach out to us to ask about teen and children’s workshops. How long is the session? 2.5 Hours with clean up included. What do I make? At the beginning of the course the instructor will go through all projects planned and go through the 6 week schedule, the projects can change if the group all agree. Projects are planned to suit the level of the course. Hot Tips Jewellery and long nails might get in the way. Bring an apron or an old t-shirt. Bring your inspiration. Pick Up Your completed works are fired during the course and can be collected during your sessions. Pottery painted on the last day of class will need to be fired and can be picked up 2-3 weeks after the course has finished. We email students when the pieces are ready for pick up.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing by email to info@beyondpottery.ca Cancellations will be subject to the following: -Cancellations within 14 days of the start date will be charged the full course fee. -Cancellations within 15-28 days of the start date will be charged 50% of the course fee. -If the participant fails to attend the course the full course fees are payable. Terms and Conditions -Courses are for Adults 18+ unless otherwise stated -All courses are non-refundable -We require at least two week advance notice to reschedule a course, regardless of the date of booking. -There are no partial refunds for missed classes.
