Course Description

Spend your Saturday afternoon getting creative with clay! Whether you're coming with a partner, a friend, a family member, or on your own, this one-time pottery wheel workshop is a fun and relaxing way to try something new. No experience is needed, Yvette will guide you through the basics of throwing on the potter's wheel, and you'll create your own ceramic piece to keep. Once your pottery has been glazed and fired, it'll be ready for pickup at a later date. All materials are included, and all skill levels are welcome. Come get your hands dirty, learn a new skill, and enjoy a creative afternoon! By the end of the session, you'll have created your own piece to be trimmed, glazed, and fired by our team, ready for pickup a few weeks later. Workshop Details: 🗓️ Date: October 31 2026 ⏰ Time: 10:30-12:30pm 📍 Location: Beyond Pottery, Burlington, ON 👩‍🏫 Instructor: Yvette Garcia-Mier 👥 Suitable for: Complete Beginners 🎨 Includes: Clay, tools, glazes, and kiln firings Pro Tips for Success: ✨ Avoid wearing jewelry or having long nails—they can get in the way ✨ Bring an apron or an old t-shirt and a towel Pick-Up Information: Your pieces will typically be fired during the course. Finished works can be collected during sessions or 3-4 weeks after the course ends. We’ll notify you by email when your creations are ready for pick-up.
