Course Description

Our 6-week Winter course is designed for children ages 7 to 11 who are curious, creative, and excited to explore the world of clay. Guided by an experienced instructor, kids will learn the fundamentals of handbuilding and clay techniques while creating their own unique ceramic pieces. This course offers a fun and supportive environment where children can express themselves, build confidence, and make new friends who share a love for art. Course Details: 🗓️ Start Date: March 28th - May 9th {Exclusion Date April 4} Saturdays, once a week, for 1.5 hour, over 6 weeks ⏰ Time: 10:30pm – 12pm 📍 Location: Beyond Pottery, Burlington, ON 👩‍🏫 Rotating instructors: Shahrzad, Lauren, and Yvette 👥 Suitable for: Children ages 7 to 11 🎨 Includes: Clay, tools, glazes, and kiln firings What do kids make? In this course, kids will learn the basic handbuilding techniques to create both functional and none function pieces of ceramic art! The possibilities of what they can make are endless! From cups to bowls, figures or musical shakers the students will create a variety of works. All projects are planned to suit the level of the course. Please note, our kids courses are handbuilding only, for wheel courses, we ask that they are at least 12 years old. Hot Tips Jewellery might get in the way. Bring an apron or an old Tshirt. Pick Up Course works, pieces are usually fired during the course and can be collected during your sessions. We email everyone when the pieces are ready for pick up.
