Course Description

Note: The cost is $204 per couple (two people), plus applicable taxes, for a 2-hour workshop session. Please note: The workshop can accommodate a maximum of 4 couples. Join us at Beyond Pottery for a fun and creative **Handbuilding Pottery Date Night**. Are you looking for a unique and memorable way to celebrate a special occasion or spend quality time with someone you love? Our Handbuilding Pottery Date Night offers the perfect opportunity for you and your partner, friend, or family member to slow down, get creative, and enjoy the experience of making pottery together. During this workshop, each person will create their own handmade pottery piece using handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building. You'll also have the option to combine your creations into one unique collaborative piece—a meaningful keepsake to remember your time together. More than just making pottery, this workshop is about creating lasting memories. The shared experience of working with clay, laughing, and creating something by hand fosters connection and leaves you with a one-of-a-kind piece to treasure for years to come. Date: AUG 14 2026 Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Instructor: Shahrzad Amin Who is this Workshop for? Complete beginners and those who have done pottery before. This workshop is intended for adults 18+. Younger? Reach out to us to ask about teen and children’s workshops. Is it your first time? We love to share our love of clay with you and everything we've learned through years of playing with clay. This course is a great introduction to pottery. Hot Tips Jewelry and longer nails might get in the way. Bring an apron or an old T-shirt How long is the workshop? 3 Hours with clean up included. Pick up For workshops: We first bisque fire your pieces after a week or so once it’s dried completely, then once cooled we glaze and refire. Pieces usually take 3-4 weeks to be completed and students will be emailed once the pieces are ready for pick up.
