This course is for Teens, ages 12+, learning handbuilding and sculptural techniques.
Course Description
Learn all about clay. Explore Handbuilding techniques designed just for Teens. Course Details: 🗓️ Start Date: October 2nd until November 13, 2025 Thursday evenings, once a week, for 2 hours, over 7 weeks ⏰ Time: 6:00 – 8:00pm 📍 Location: Beyond Pottery, Burlington, ON 👩🏫 Instructor: Lauren Sinett 👥 Suitable for: Teens 🎨 Includes: Clay, tools, glazes, and kiln firings What to Expect: ✔️ Learn the Basics – Understand the stages of clay, clay preparation, essential tools, surface decoration, and glazing. ✔️ Handbuilding Techniques – Explore slab building, coil construction, and pinching to create unique, organic forms. ✔️ Guided Instruction – Receive personalized support from our skilled instructor every step of the way. Hot Tips for a Great Session: Avoid wearing jewelry and long nails—they can get in the way Bring an apron or old t-shirt and a towel. Pick-Up Information: Your pieces will typically be fired during the course. Finished works can be collected during sessions or 3-4 weeks after the course ends. We’ll notify you by email when your creations are ready for pick-up.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing by email to info@beyondpottery.ca Cancellations will be subject to the following: -Cancellations within 14 days of the start date will be charged the full course fee. -Cancellations within 15-28 days of the start date will be charged 50% of the course fee. -If the participant fails to attend the course the full course fees are payable. Terms and Conditions -Courses are for Adults 18+ unless otherwise stated -All courses are non-refundable -We require at least two week advance notice to reschedule a course, regardless of the date of booking. -There are no partial refunds for missed classes.
