Course Description
Learn all about clay. Explore Handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques designed just for Teens. Course Details: 🗓️ Start Date: May 23 - June 27th Saturdays, once a week, for 2 hours, over 6 weeks ⏰ Time: 11am – 1pm 📍 Location: Beyond Pottery, Burlington, ON 👩🏫 Rotating Instructors: Lauren, Yvette, and Shahrzad 👥 Suitable for: Teens 🎨 Includes: Clay, tools, glazes, and kiln firings What to Expect: ✔️ Learn the Basics – Understand the stages of clay, clay preparation, essential tools, surface decoration, and glazing. ✔️ Handbuilding Techniques – Explore slab building, coil construction, and pinching to create unique, organic forms. ✔️Wheel Throwing Techniques - Learn the foundational skills to make pots using the pottery wheel . ✔️ Guided Instruction – Receive personalized support from our skilled instructor every step of the way. Hot Tips for a Great Session: Avoid wearing jewelry and long nails—they can get in the way Bring an apron or old t-shirt and a towel. Pick-Up Information: Your pieces will typically be fired and collected during the course. Any pieces still that need to be fired after the class ends, we’ll notify you by email for when your pieces are ready for pick-up.
