Course Description

Our 6-week Winter course is designed for children ages 7 to 11 who are curious, creative, and excited to explore the world of clay. Guided by an experienced instructor, kids will learn the fundamentals of handbuilding and clay techniques while creating their own unique ceramic pieces. This course offers a fun and supportive environment where children can express themselves, build confidence, and make new friends who share a love for art. Course Details: 🗓️ Start Date: January 24th until February 28th, 2026 Saturdays, once a week, for 1.5 hour, over 6 weeks ⏰ Time: 10:30pm – 12pm 📍 Location: Beyond Pottery, Burlington, ON 👩‍🏫 Instructor: Sarah Taghipour 👥 Suitable for: Children ages 7 to 11 🎨 Includes: Clay, tools, glazes, and kiln firings What do kids make? At the beginning of the course the instructor will go through all projects planned and go through the 6 week schedule, the projects can change if the group all agree. Projects are planned to suit the level of the course. Our kids courses are handbuilding only, for wheel courses we ask that they are at least 12 years old. Hot Tips Jewellery might get in the way. Bring an apron or an old tshirt. Pick Up Course works, pieces are usually fired during the course and can be collected during your sessions, or a weeks after the course has finished. Pieces usually take 3-4 weeks. We email everyone when the pieces are ready for pick up. We fire according to size and best fit in the kiln.
